- We will be focusing on reading terms throughout the year and will strive to be more comfortable with the terminology
- We will use the stories read in class to help us:
- Identify central or main ideas
- Author's perspective, purpose, point of view
- Setting and character development
- Question, Visualize, Connect, Infer, Predict, and Conclude (QVCIPC)
- We will realize the impact reading has on our everyday lives
Below is the format for our "Word of the Day" in class activity. Students will be presented a new vocabulary word pertaining to Reading on Tuesdays and Thursdays and given time to complete the requirements.
